BIZCOM’s exciting Semifinals – You choose the Finalists!

Food served at 11:00am; pitches at 12:00 noon!

We Need You!

Come support local entrepreneurs and get the thrill of “investing” (play money) in their startups. Your investment will determine the 5 finalists who will move closer to the $21,000 in prize money (real money).

Due to capacity crowds at our last 3 events, BIZCOM has moved the Semis to USI’s new Award Winning Griffin Center. Come enjoy the view, have lunch on us, hear exciting pitches from startups looking to be the next billion dollar idea, and take part by playing angel investor – think Shark Tank meets Monopoly!
RSVP for BIZCOM before March 28th!

What Is It?
USI’s Eagle Innovation Business Competition (BIZCOM) is a business model competition designed to solicit the best business models from the greater USI community and connect those models to teams, mentors, and resources to develop a business with the potential to effect job creation in Southwest Indiana.
Where Shark Tank Meets Monopoly

Ten business models have been chosen by a panel of judges to move to the semi-finals round.

We will give you $10,000 (Not real money…we’re not crazy). After a one-minute pitch, you will be able to visit each team’s booth and decide how to “invest” your money. Your “investment” will help determine which teams move forward to the

Finals on April 22nd. Up to 5 finalists will be selected based on YOUR simulated investment.

The 5 finalists will continue to develop their business models, supported by workshops and mentors, for a final presentation. There will be 3 teams selected by expert judges as winners of cash and other prizes. USI will contribute $21,000 toward prize money:
1st place – $12,000
2nd place – $6,000
3rd place – $3,000

We Need You!

Contestants need you to help them bring their business to the market!
You could be the first “investor” of the next billion-dollar business.
