When you pitch, what you say, how you say it and how your pitch deck looks determines your success. When You Leave The Room, a business presentation skills consultancy will share practical guidelines on the components of winning pitches.
This workshop, hosted by Elevate Ventures and Elevate Southwest Indiana is geared to the special needs of entrepreneurs seeking to raise money or to hone in on their presentation skills. This workshop will be interactive and will feature the following:
- Explanation and illustration of the key differences between a pitch deck that entrepreneurs prepare for investors to read versus a pitch deck that entrepreneurs prepare for an investor to hear as a presentation
- Tips on the preparation of compelling
- Techniques of presenting highly technical information in a readily understandable manner
- Coaching on delivery, including where to stand, how to gesture, and the importance of being “on” from the moment a presenter exits the car
- Reinforcement of the critical importance of rehearsals

Sara has a keen appreciation of the good, the bad and the ugly in business presentations, having delivered hundreds of presentations to persuade and explain, and having sat through hundreds more. During her career in advertising, she organized and helped deliver nearly 100 new-business pitches, with outcomes ranging as high as seven figures. Sara holds a bachelor’s degree Magna cum Laude in Radio and TV from Butler University.
