Tech-on-Tap

MakerSpace – Open Hours

Event Details

  • Date:

During this Wednesday’s open hours, we will be setting up the Laser Engraver and one of the CNCs. While the assembly is mostly done, we will be building an air filter system, doing some calibration, and running some tests. I am gathering the parts to do a Pi2 based arcade system, and hope to start that project Wednesday.

Space is always available to those with projects. We hope to allow people without space an opportunity to build and those with dedicated space a chance to be part of a community. The makerspace will not limit what medium people decide to pursue (except for safety reasons), but our primary focus will be on small electronics and desktop prototyping. Other opportunities and equipment will be decided by the members. Anyone can work as long as they sign a waiver (parents’ consent for those under 18). We have a few tools  available include: electronics/soldering equipment, CNC, laser engraver, and two 3d Printers.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

This is event is FREE and open to all. There will not be food or refreshments served.

Makers should bring their own consumables (solder, Pi’s, etc.) We do have a boneyard. There are some old computer parts that can be used for your projects.

Entrance Doors to Innovation Pointe lock at 7p.m.
