Beginning September 8th, the Maker Station at Innovation Pointe will offer a bi-monthly instructional series focusing on hardware development and prototyping. Participation in the sessions is free for MakerStation and Coworking Station members at Innovation Pointe. The four week hands-on course will be available to non-members for $100. Anyone with interest (ages 12 and up) is eligible to enroll!
Sessions will occur twice weekly for four weeks on Tuesdays (training) at 5:30 p.m. and Thursdays (individual implementation) at 6:30 p.m. Each session will last approximately two hours. Participants will have access to the Maker Station, equipment and materials for the duration of the four week course.
MakerCourse 101: Operation & Workflows for Rapid Prototyping
If you’re curious about 3D printing and/or the capabilities of a CNC machine, this is the course for you! MakerCourse 101 will provide basic instruction on safety, operation, and workflows using 3D printers, CNC routers, and our impressive CNC laser cutter.
Space is limited to 12 participants. Registration for this course is first come, first serve. The course will begin on Tuesday,September 8th at 5:30 p.m. in the Maker Station at Innovation Pointe. 

The course will be led by Dr. Art Chlebowski from USI’s College of Engineering. Dr. Chlebowski completed his PhD in Biomedical Engineering at Purdue and brings expertise in engineering, materials, electronics, prototyping and he is the co-founder of a medical device company.

Recap: Sessions will meet on Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m. AND Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. They begin Sept. 8th, and run 4 weeks, so they will end on Oct. 1st. The $100 gives you access to ALL sessions!
