McKinsey Global Institute predicts by 2025 one TRILLION objects will be connected to the Internet. The “Internet of Things” won’t stop with a connected phone or desktop but will include a vast swath of the home, vehicles, offices, manufacturing spaces and yes, people.

This Internet of Things is being driven by the plummeting cost of sensors and the electronics used to deploy them, creating unprecedented opportunities for Makers to shape our future.
