Controlling your Arduino with voice commands from your Android smartphone

Event Details

  • Date:

Do you own an Android smartphone?  Would you like to control an Arduino with it using Google’s Voice-to-Text API over bluetooth?   Then this is the class for you!    We will be setting up a bluetooth module to work with arduino then installing an android app to control your own Arduino project with your phone.

(example: saying “L.E.D. ON” might turn on an L.E.D. light connected to your arduino)

This class is open to anyone and we’ll have 10 Arduinos for sale at $10 a piece as well as 8 of the required HC-05 bluetooth modules for sale at $5 a piece.  Breadboards and jumpers are also available to borrow or buy.

(those who register first have a priority to buy these items)

No specific Android phone is required, most should work.

Even if you don’t own an android phone, come out and try it, we’ll have a few extra phones to borrow.
