Eric and JNIA are working to bring the Purdue Polytechinc High School’s third location to Evansville
ABOUT Pudue Polytechnic HS – At Purdue Polytechnic, just about everything you thought you knew about school has changed. Created in partnership with Purdue University, Purdue Polytechnic High School (PPHS) will develop a new generation of skilled talent—graduates prepared for the high-tech, high-wage jobs of the future. Founded on the belief that the deepest learning comes through doing, learning is industry-focused and experiential, with an emphasis on science, technology, engineering and math. Through real-world design challenges, students learn problem-solving and critical thinking skills that will prepare them to be leaders of their own lives and leaders in their communities. Instead of a traditional schedule, staff and students work together to create dynamic individual and group learning experiences best suited to the changing needs of each student. Students learn to be responsible for recognizing gaps in their own knowledge, and receive high-quality instructional support when they need it. And, if they meet admissions requirements, they will graduate with an automatic offer of admission to Purdue, ready to thrive wherever life takes them next.
Event Format:
7:30 a.m. – Door Open, get your cup of Evansville Coffee Company coffee
8:00 a.m. – 5 minute or less story highlighting something innovative, entrepreneurial or simply positive happening in our community.
9:00 a.m. – Party’s over – but you are welcome to continue conversations in the Innovation Pointe lobby.
