MakerSpace – Open Hours

Evansville’s new MakerSpace will focus on building communities around emerging technologies in a workshop which brings access to tools like CNC milling and 3D printing. Our MakerSpace is presently more SPACE than MAKER.

Our MakerSpace will be membership based but on Tuesday nights we will be throwing the space open for the curious to test the waters. You can be part of guiding the development of a largely “blank slate”.

This meetup is to open the available space to those with projects. We hope to allow people without space an opportunity to build and those with dedicated space a chance to be part of a community. The makerspace will not limit what medium people decide to pursue (except for safety reasons), but our primary focus will be on small electronics and desktop prototyping. Other opportunities and equipment will be decided by the members. Anyone can work as long as they sign a waiver (parents’ consent for those under 18). We have a few tools already available (electronics/soldering equipment); however, I would still recommend that makers bring their own tools. We are working on the CNC and 3d Printer and hope to have access to the equipment soon.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

This is event is FREE and open to all. There will not be food or refreshments served.

Makers should bring their own consumables (solder, Pi’s, etc.) We do have a boneyard. There are some old computer parts that can be used for your projects.
